Donations for storm victims at JOY Ministries

From JOY Ministries, Columbia, KY

We have coordinated with Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry to assist the Hurricane Helene victims in North Carolina and will start collecting items Monday October 14, 2024 at the J.O.Y. Ministries Crisis Resource Center, 400 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY.

The list of specific needs follows below. They have supplied us with a path in and out to ensure we can get items to them safely.

A semi is prepared to deliver the following items they have said are the highest needs currently for anyone willing to donate:


Fuel; gasoline and propane, including the 16oz. Coleman propane canisters.

Drinking water (bottles or gallons)

non-perishable food

baby stuff to toddlers, example: formula, wipes, baby food - (Do not bring clothing or diapers per their request)

men's boxers - all sizes, especially large (most requested) men's briefs, less requested, women's underwear

adult diapers,

feminine monthly hygiene products,

hygiene products (travel shampoo, deodorant, travel mouthwash),

fix-o-dent for dentures

toilet paper, paper towels, adult diapers
(Do not bring clothing or diapers per their request)

pet items (dog and cat food, cat litter)

ziplock bags

small flashlights,

C batteries, hearing aid batteries, snacks.
