Ode to youth By Phillip Coffey Ode to youth when fun and games led not to much, much more. No noise about, with creaks and soon the roaring of sleeping snores. No distant memories of so long ago with fancy dreams to challenge all to be explored. No dampened spirits to wit, nothing to implore. No mountains too high or valleys so very deep to the core. In younger days, inquiring minds met with little resistance of fabled lore. Fancy free, no treasured chest of goods or 'out the door.’ Lift the banner, ”salt and peppered,” nevermore.
