LWC Singers are a performing arts ensemble The Lindsey Wilson College Singers, guided by Dr. Gerald Chafin, conductor, and Priscilla Dickson, accompanist, performed at the Homecoming service at Columbia United Methodist Church Sunday, September 29, 2024. The LWC Singers are organized on professional standards to represent the College as a performing arts ensemble. The mixed-choir performs repertoire from all eras, specializing in sacred anthem literature. The Singers tour extensively, having performed in over 40 states. Also, in 2002, 2006, 2009, and 2018 members of the ensemble performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In 2023 members of the ensemble performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. And, in the spring-semester 2025, the Singers' concert tour is planned for California. The ensemble's touring tradition created partnerships across the United States; from Langley Air Force Base to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The Lindsey Wilson College Singers were honored to present a world premiere musical setting of speeches for the Lincoln Bicentennial as well as collaborate on numerous projects with the U.S. Department of the Interior. Representing Kentucky in performances commemorating the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor was the ensemble's 4th project with Music Celebrations International. In addition, members of the ensemble have participated in the Rome Choral Festival; the Paris Choral Festival, including a wreath-laying ceremony at the American Cemetery in Normandy, France; the Mozart Choral Festival in Salzburg, Austria, and this past summer, the Dublin Choral Festival in Ireland. The membership of the Lindsey Wilson College Singers spans numerous majors across the campus and the influence of the LWC Singers creates a contagious excitement, a truly winsome personality! The singers included: Zoe Boatright, Columbia, KY; Dakota Boaz, Leitchfield, KY; Ashlynn Burton, Columbia; Lillian Clauson, Bonnieville, KY; Kiara Collins, Columbia; Sarai Collins, Columbia; Hailee Corbin, Greensburg, KY; Brandon Grider, Columbia; Madeline Hardwick, Columbia; Allee Harris, Willisburg, KY; Cassey Honaker, Lexington, KY; Kaleb Humble, Monticello, KY; Anna Johnson, London, KY; Leeshawn Johnson, Louisville, KY; Sadie Kemp, Columbia; Joe Kotter, Columbia; Jesse LaGrange, Burkesville; Amber Loy, Columbia; Jasmine Mitchell, Campbellsville, KY; Seth Ousley, Lancaster, KY; Colin Pike, Columbia; Josephine Posey Greensburg; Sabrina Ruiz, Louisville, KY; Yesh Singayao, Vine Grove, KY; Natalie Stearns, Columbia; Rebekah Stevenson, Russell Springs, KY; Jordan Thomas, Columbia; Reilly Wells, Columbia; Megan Whitson, London, KY; and Leif Wilson, Newville, PA.
