Volleyball: LWC takes care of Bethel in three

The Lindsey Wilson volleyball team put forth a dominant effort on Friday evening, downing Bethel (TN) in straight sets to remain undefeated in Mid-South play and extend its winning streak to nine matches.

The Blue Raiders outkilled the visiting Wildcats 45 to 23 and held their opponent to sub-.150 attack percentages across each of the three sets. Meanwhile, Lindsey Wilson finished with its fourth-highest hitting percentage of the season at 0.294.

For the third consecutive match, Elisa Burzio led the host's offense with 11 kills. Fellow Italian Lara Danesi totaled nine kills and three service aces, while the middle blocker duo of Savanah Pippin and Elizabeth Moore each produced eight kills and combined for only two attacking errors.

The four-match homestand concludes at 11amCT on Saturday morning, when Lindsey Wilson hosts Freed-Hardeman (TN). The Lions are coming off a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Campbellsville on Friday afternoon.
