ACHS Football in Glasgow Thursday night

Tickets: Glasgow Scotties vs Adair County Indians at gofan

By Trey Stephens

Adair County football is back in action tonight as they travel to face the Glasgow Scotties. This game was moved up from Friday night, due to weather that is expected as a result of Hurricane Helene.

The Scotties come in 3-2 off of back to back losses to Allen County-Scottsville (15-32)and Barren County (7-23). This game will mark the second district game of the season for the Indians and will be Glasgow's season debut in district play.

The Indians faced Barren County in a preseason scrimmage and faired much better than the Scotties, as they won 20-12. The Indians struggled mightily to stop the run in their last game allowing almost 300 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns, more rushing scores than they had allowed in their past 4 games combined.

Luckily for Adair County, Glasgow only managed 47 rushing yards in their last game. Glasgow is averaging 30 points in their wins and just 11 points in their losses, so if the Adair defense can manage to halt the Scottie offense from scoring like they have been able to do to other teams this season, it would bode well for the team.

On the offensive side of the ball, the passing game had a nice recovery in the last game to pass for just under 250 yards, if they can keep that up the Indians should be able to sustain a balanced attack with the ball.

Come out and support your Indians on Thursday night at 7pmCT at Glasgow High School, 1601 Columbia Ave, Glasgow, KY!
