Letter: Linda's Beautiful Bird Quilt

Hello Linda, Your bird quilt is so beautiful, a true work of art. I just love birds. I did a google image search and found some info on a similar quilt you might find interesting. I think your quilt is even prettier than the one shown.

It references a book where reader's might find a similar pattern:
'The Garden Bouquet pattern was syndicated under the title of The Nancy Page Quilt Club, with one block per week being offered in prominent newspapers during the early 1930's to 1933. Each block had an urn with the two birds on it and a different flower in the middle. There were a total of 20 blocks. If you missed a pattern you could order one for 5 cents! See Roderick Kiracofe's "The American Quilt, A History of Cloth & Comfort 1750 - 1950", for another example of this design.'
