ACHS Football game is at Monroe County HS

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

Adair County Football will travel to face the Falcons of Monroe County Friday night, September 20, 2024.

The Indians come into this game fresh off an impressive 42-7 win over Franklin-Simpson. The Falcons come off a 21-15 loss at Barren County, who the Indians defeated in a preseason scrimmage.

The Falcons had somewhat of a balanced attack in that game as they rushed for 158 yards and passed for 110.

A struggle for Monroe County this season has been putting points on the board, as they have scored just 35 points over the past three games. The Indians will look to take advantage of that fact and shut down the Falcons offense.

The Indians will also look to continue the impressive rushing performance they put up in the last game rushing for 223 yards and 5 touchdowns.

This is the last game for the Indians before they start a 3 game streak of district play that will have a large impact on where the Indians stand on postseason play.

The momentum that comes out of this game will be of great importance to the team.

Come out and support the team, Friday night at 7pm in Tompkinsville!
