Swimming technique clinic at Holloway on Saturday

By Malte Ahrens

This Saturday, September 21, 2024, is your chance to work on swimming strokes with college athletes and multiple NAIA All-Americans.

The Lindsey Wilson Swim Team is hosting a stroke correction clinic for all age groups in the Natatorium of the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY. The first session will work on freestyle and backstroke technique and starts at 9amCT. Afterwords the college swimmers will take all athletes out to lunch at the college cafeteria. The second session will start at 1pmCT, and will be about breaststroke and fly technique.

Both sessions will start with a short video part where swim theory is going to be explained with simple examples. After a short dryland session, the swimmers will start in the water and get individual feedback for their improvement on their strokes.

The costs for one session are $50 ($45 for SKY members). Both sessions combined will be $90 ($80 for SKY members). All prices include lunch in the LWC dining hall.

Sign-ups are possible by email to malte.ahrens@lindsey.edu, at the front desk of the Holloway Wellness Center, or on Saturday morning in person.
