All In for LWC begins Tuesday, September 17 By Venus Popplewell LWC Director of PR At Lindsey Wilson College "Roots Run Deep." The annual "All In for LWC" 48-hour event to raise money for student aid begins today, September 17, 2024, and will last until midnight on Wednesday, September 18. LWC takes great pride in the long-standing tradition it shares with generations of families and friends who consider themselves LWC Blue Raiders. This year the social media campaign dubbed All In For LWC celebrates those enduring relationships. Video: Dr. Allan Parnell Is All in for LWC! "Our roots run deeply here at Lindsey Wilson College," says LWC President William T. Luckey Jr. "So whether you're a member of LWC National Alumni Association, a currently enrolled student, a member of the Adair County community, an employee or a donor - you understand just what I mean when I talk about how deeply our passion and commitment runs through this college." The social media campaign dubbed All In For LWC began in 2014 and has raised nearly $6 million. In addition to raising money for scholarship aid, the 'All In for LWC' campaign helps LWC to increase its alumni-giving participation percentage. The fall 2024 campaign is structured so that students will immediately benefit from the financial support. By going to www.lindsey.edu/giving, donors may give their gift directly to more than 30 affinity programs. For example, if you are a former baseball player, cheerleader, band member, or if you have a love for theatre, you can designate your gift to go to your favorite program, team, club or group. Chairman of the LWC Board of Directors and Adair County native Dr. Allan Parnell has led the annual alumni and friends, two-day campaign for more than a decade. "I've been involved in this annual fundraiser for a number of years and I get excited every year," said Parnell, who has served as LWC board chair since 2012. "We have a tremendous opportunity to help these boys and girls attend college. LWC has more than 4,000 students, which means we need more funds. There is no better way to help than to give to the All In for LWC 48-Hour campaign." To make a gift of any amount to the All In for LWC Chair's Challenge during the two-day period of Sept. 17-18, you can give online by clicking on www.lindsey.edu/giving. You can also call the college's development office at 270-384-8400. Gifts can be restricted to a specific program or can be unrestricted to the general fund.
