Indians win 42-7 over Franklin-Simpson Friday

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

Adair County High School Football handily defeated Franklin-Simpson 42-7 in Friday night's game. The Indians came out swinging early as they put up 35 points in the first half.

Senior Lane Grant being responsible for all of those 5 touchdowns, 4 rushing, and one on a fumble recovery that he ran back.

Fumble recoveries were a theme for the evening as Adair County had 3 in just the first half and others throughout the game, the Indians also had a first half interception, adding up to 4 turnovers forced in the first half.

This was without a doubt a dominating performance for Adair County as they easily outperformed Franklin-Simpson in every aspect of the game.

The Indians offense was very impressive as this was the first full game without quarterback Easton Jesse and they performed very well, despite the challenges that were presented.

Given the nature of the opponent, and the hand Adair County was dealt, this was the best the team has looked this season and their best overall performance.

The team will be in action again next Friday night as they travel to Monroe County.
