Indians Football game against Wildcats Friday night

By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer

Adair County Football is back at home Friday night as they face off against Franklin-Simpson at 7pm. The Wildcats come into this matchup 2-1, coming off a 22-36 loss at Allen County-Scottsville, compared to the Indians who come off their 14-0 win over LaRue County.

This game will be the opening of district play for the team as they will try to avoid a repeat of last year's matchup with Franklin-Simpson which was a 27-20 loss.

As I touched on in my last article, the Indians had a very impressive night rushing last week, but so did Franklin-Simpson as they notched 233 rushing yards in a loss, Layne Alford carried a lot of the work for the Wildcats as he rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on 13 attempts last week.

The Indians defense will look to keep a lid on him and the entire Franklin-Simpson rushing attack as they have done to other opponents in the past.

The Indians defense will also look to capitalize on a passing game that turned the ball over three times last week for Franklin-Simpson.

All in all, this should be quite an interesting matchup and certainly the toughest matchup Adair County has faced this season, everyone please come out and support your Indians on Friday! night at 7!
