ACHS Football stats from win over LaRue By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer As I wrote in my last piece, Adair County Football defeated LaRue County 14-0 last Friday in a game that was suspended at halftime, and later called final due to the weather. Despite all of that, here are what the stats tell us from last week. The Indians rushed for a season high 154 yards in just the one half of play. On the defense side, the Indians also managed to surrender just 34 rushing yards and 49 passing yards to the LaRue offense, seriously limiting their effectiveness. Specifically, the defense was led in tackles by Aiden Smith and Tristan Mullins, both with 4. Braxton Brown and Solomon Stonebraker led the team in Tackles for Loss, both posting two. The rushing attack for the offense I had mentioned earlier was led by Lane Grant with 132 rushing yards, along with both of the Indian's scores. However, the Indians passing struggled on Friday night as the Quarterback change, due to injury, majorly slowed down that side of the offense as the team was a combined 3 for 11 for 30 yards on passing. The Indians will look to build on their successes here and hopefully finish a full game for the first time since their opener almost three weeks ago. This story was posted on 2024-09-11 01:18:17
