Storms halt second Friday night football game By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer Adair County High School Indians defeated LaRue County 14-0 in yet another weather shortened football game Friday night. The Indians out matched the Hawks on both sides of the ball early and often throughout this game. However, both teams proved no match for lightning and torrential rain, as the game was called final after halftime by the mutual agreement of both teams. This makes the second straight game where Adair County has been unable to finish the entirety of the game due to weather. The Indians defense once again held strong and surrendered very little to the Hawks offense. Comparatively, Adair County's offense was moving the ball very well early and slicing right through the LaRue defense with little exception. That was however, until an injury slowed the team down after which the Indians offense was still able to move the ball, but at a less productive rate. The Injury, which was to QB Easton Jesse is a developing situation. The team will be back home next week as they take on a tough 2-1 Franklin-Simpson. This story was posted on 2024-09-08 00:12:11
