Soccer: LWC defeats Georgia Gwinnett with late goal

Felix Poschmann scored the lone goal of the game in the 86th minute, giving the No. 25 ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team a 1-0 victory over (RV) Georgia Gwinnett on Thursday at Walter S. Reuling Stadium-Ray Wells Field.

Poschmann was finally able to get the Blue Raiders on the scoreboard after what had been a defensive battle between the two teams. Sebastian Tregarthen won possession and was able to keep possession around two Georgia Gwinnett defender. He then played a through ball to Poschmann who dribbled around two defenders and fired a left foot strike from just outside the box pat the goalkeeper.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on Monday when they face Northwestern Ohio at 3pmCT at Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.
