Women veterans with breast cancer get DAR support

By Annita Dial
Adair History and Genealogy Center

The Jane Lampton Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Columbia, KY, invites the community to lend a hand in supporting Lady Veterans Connect.

This organization, based in Winchester, KY., supports Kentucky women veterans. In October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month they are planning a "Diva Day" for women veterans who have had breast cancer or are currently in treatment.

We are asking for donations of fuzzy socks, creams or lotions, inspirational books or other small items to pamper the ladies.

Please drop your donations at the Adair County Genealogy & History Research Center, 307 Greensburg St., Columbia, by 16 September 2024.

Let's take care of our Kentucky women veterans! If you have questions, please call Annita Dial or Ernestine Bennett at 270-380-1024.
