Michael Scott Moon, 69, Green County, KY (1955-2024) Michael Scott Moon of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late W.C. "Bob" Moon and Irene Banks Moon was born on Wednesday, May 18, 1955 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. He was 69 years, 3 months, and 14 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Jones Chapel Church and a Minister. He was Maintenance for Green County Schools for many years and a member of the Summersville William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704 F&A. Survived by his wife, Deborah Morgan Moon of Greensburg, having united in marriage on May 11, 1990. Other survivors include five children: Josh and Sarah Moon of Jefferson City, Tennessee, Erica and Lauren Meredith of Knoxville, Tennessee, Charlie Moon of Greensburg, Thaddeus Moon of Greensburg, and Hanna Moon of Greensburg; two grandchildren: MaKayla Moon of Jefferson City, Tennessee and Micah John Meredith of Knoxville, Tennessee; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Tracy and Glenda Moon of Greensburg, Rick and Pam Moon of Greensburg; a sister and brother-in-law: Becky and Terry Martin of Greensburg; special friends: Doug Marcum and Congregation of Jones Chapel Church; special furry friend: Thor; and a host of other relatives and friends. Honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 6pmCT Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Tracy Moon, Dale Curry, Rick Moon, and Erica Meredith will be speaking. Visitation is requested from 1pmCT until time of the memorial service. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Gideon Bible Fund, Jones Chapel Church, or St. Jude, which can be made at the funeral home.
