Callie Elizabeth Coffey, Green County, KY (1938-2024)

Callie Elizabeth Cross Coffey Callie Elizabeth Cross Coffey of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Lonnie and Mattie Wright Cross, was born on December 5, 1938 in Green County, Kentucky. She departed this life on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Green River Trails Nursing Home in Greensburg having attained the age of 85 years, eight months and 27 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of South Greensburg Baptist Church. Mrs. Coffey was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Coffey, in 2007.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Joan and Donnie York of Greensburg; one son and daughter-in-law: C.J. and Loretta Coffey of Greensburg; five grandchildren: Carla McClister, Kyle and Jessica Coffey, Amy and Daniel Coffey, Macy and Corey Sneed and Jeffrey York; 11 great-grandchildren: Jimmy Janes, Taya Middlen, Cheyanne Sprowles, Braxton Sneed, Maverick Sneed, Noah Sneed, Tianna McIntosh, Jaylon McClister, Lily Kester, Alona Kester and Josh Kester; five great great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law: Correll and William "Fats" Coffey of Greensburg; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: James Cross, Vernon Cross and Otis Cross; and two sisters: Ruby Nell Cross and Wanda Jean Cross.

The funeral services will be conducted at 3pmCT on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Bro. Chamren Rogers officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4-8 Monday and after 7 Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to the Macedonia Cemetery Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
