Roadways along Sulphur Creek in Adair Co. remain flooded

Roadways that cross or parallel road Sulphur Creek remain flooded or closed with flood debris. An alternate route should taken tonight and tomorow morning as crews work on clearing:
  • Sulphur Creek Road
  • Purdy Sano Road
  • Allen Schoolhouse road / Grassy Springs
  • Christine Road
  • L Hancock Road
  • Taylor Ford Road
  • Possibly near New Concord Road
After consultation with Daniel Wilson at the Storm Alert Center, a call was placed to the National Weather Service to request an additional Flash Flood Warning until 12:45amCT in an area around Sulphur Creek.

A red alert call was released Wednesday afternoon that Adair County was under a flash flood warning. Former AC Judge Executive Gale Cowan took a drive and shared high water pictures of road closures - this is the Taylor Ford Road bridge around 7pmCT.
