LWC collects NAIA Champions of Character 5-Star Gold Award

The Lindsey Wilson College Athletics Department has received the NAIA's Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Award for the 2023-24 academic year, national officials announced on Wednesday.

Institutions considered for this honor are measured on a demonstrated commitment to the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.

Lindsey Wilson earned a perfect score of 100 during the academic year on its scorecard.

A total of 209 member schools garnered Champions of Character Five-Star Award status for the 2023-24 academic year. The Mid-South Conference was named a Champions of Character Five-Star Conference with all seven conference schools earning the Gold Award.
