CPD: Meth Arrest

On Sunday night, July 28, 2024, officers responded to Dollar General on Campbellsville Street after receiving a call about individuals slumped over in a parked vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers observed male and female in vehicle while it was still running, unresponsive. After waking individuals it was determined the operator was under the influence, and he was taken into custody. Search of vehicle and property yielded findings of suspected methamphetamine, narcotics and paraphernalia.


Riley Hatfield, 24, of Russell Springs has been charged with DUI 1st, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug unspecified and possession of methamphetamine.

Lindsey Buckingham, 23, also of Russell Springs was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, prescription not in original container, possession of drug unspecified, and possession of methamphetamine.

Officer Bradley Bates and Sgt Justin Cross were the arresting Officers. Adair EMS also responded to scene.
