CPD: Two from Russell Co. arrested for meth possession

On Friday night, July 27, 2024, officers from the Columbia Police Department initiated a traffic stop on Tutt Street. After making contact with occupants it was found vehicle operator had a suspended operators license. Subsequent search of vehicle and property yielded findings of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine.


Steven Huff, 41, of Russell Springs was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine as well as traffic violations.

Marry Sears, 37, also of Russell Springs, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

Officer Elliot Smith was the arresting Officer. He was assisted on scene by Officer Bradley Bates, Deputy Emily Wall and Kentucky State Police.
