Jean Wheeler, 78, Columbia, KY (1945-2024) Jean (Kemp) Wheeler of Columbia died on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 7:18 A.M. at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was 78 years old. The funeral service will be held at 3pmCT on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Adam Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 1pmCT on Tuesday. She was born August 15, 1945, in Adair County, to the late Owen and Reaemma Rogers Kemp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Wheeler, a daughter, Valerie Kay Wheeler, her brother, Rayburn Kemp and her sister, Ernestine Lloyd. Jean was employed by the Adair County School System for over 30 years, retiring as Cafeteria Manager at Adair County High School, attended Gradyville Baptist Church and an avid Adair County and University of Kentucky Basketball fan Survivors include:
