Sandra Evert, 71, Columbia, KY (1952-2024) Sandra Jean Thomas Evert of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Summit Manor Nursing Home. She was 71 years old. Mrs. Evert chose cremation. Memorial services will be held at 11amCT on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Community Church, 8545 Highway 1680, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9amCT until 11amCT at Pleasant Hill Church. She was born on November 5, 1952, in Baltimore, MD to the late Joseph Edward and Alice Marie Rhoads Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Scott Evert. Mrs. Evert was a very active member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church. She had recently celebrated 40 years of sobriety and enjoyed helping others with their addiction. Survivors include her siblings Fred Thomas, John Thomas, Alice Marie Thomas Dobbs all of Columbia, KY, Joe Thomas of Essex, MD, Ed Thomas of Hendersonville, NC, and Mindy Thomas Bolton of Montevallo, AL, and several nieces and nephews.
