VFW Memorial Day Program From Ronnie Holt, Commander VFW Post 6097 Columbia The public is invited to join us at 2pmCT on Sunday, 26 May 2024, at VFW Post 6097 Columbia for our Memorial Day program. The program is in two parts. First we will have an opening program inside the hall with this year's speaker, James Flowers. Comrade Flowers is a Gulf War veteran and a Life member of our post. He is the son of Alferd Flowers, who was a WWII veteran. After our inside program, we will retire outside for the placing of the wreaths and playing of taps at the monument honoring our county's lost heros of WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. We are blessed to have not had anyone lost in any of the southwest asia conflicts. VFW Post 6097 Columbia is located at 500 Greenhills Rd., Columbia, KY. This story was posted on 2024-05-21 19:01:58
