Tim Stephens, 61, Russell County, KY (1962-2024)

Timmy Ray Stephens, of Russell Springs, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024. He was 61 years of age.

Tim was a farmer and a "Jack-of-all-trades." He milked cows, grew tobacco and vegetables commercially, and was the co-owner of Stephens' Nursery. He was a welder, his own personal veterinarian, and a carpenter. When it came to farming, you name it - he could pretty much do it.


Born September 7, 1962, he was a son of Jean Stephens Hubbard and the late Elbert Stephens.

Survivors include his wife Julie Stephens, of Russell Springs, whom he wed December 25, 1999; his mother, Jean Hubbard, of Russell Springs; five daughters, Mandy (and Brian) Withers, of Russell Springs, Falisha Willis, of Columbia Falls, Montana, Keirstan Goodin, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Kayleigh (and Cody) Lawson, of South Korea, and Kaitlynn Bronson (Harley Wilson), of Nancy; two sons, Adam Stephens (Angie Bennett), of Russell Springs and Jonathon (and Maria) Bronson, of Columbia; a grandson raised as his own, Jaiden Jones, of Russell Springs; his brother, Richard (and Deana) Stephens, of Russell Springs; his sister, Sandy (and Wayne) Radford, of Jamestown; and his mother-in-law, Judith Louden, of Jamestown. Tim is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT Monday, April 15, 2024, at Bernard Ridge Church of God, with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. Burial will follow in Bernard Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 until the time of services, at the church.

Adam Stephens, Jeremy Radford, Brian Withers, Danny Stephens, Harley Wilson, and Jim Liefbroer will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Mason Withers and Hunter Gray.

Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
