GAME DAY: Good luck Indians vs Lyon County Lions

Indians take the court at 12:30pmCT today, Friday, March 21, 2024 against the Lyon County Lions - ROLL TRIBE!

Adair County High School boys basketball defeated Region 1 Champions Marshall County 72-55 in the first round of the UK Healthcare Sweet 16 State Tournament.

The Indians put together a strong performance right out of the gate, leading by 9 at the end of the first quarter. The team continued to show incredible effort and fight the entire game, which was able to give them a decisive advantage in rebounding, an area where Marshall County expected to outdo the Indians.

Marshall County coach Sawyer Donohoo even admitted that his team was quote "Bothered by their (Adair County) physicality" in his post game press conference.

The team will look to continue their run this afternoon, Friday, March 21, 2024 against the Lyon County Lions. Adair County struggled mightily in their matchup at Lyon County over a month ago. However, the Indians are playing much better basketball now, and the Lions may be doing quite the opposite as they struggled to knock down shots in their first round match up, scoring just 45 points in a 2 point victory over Ashland. But, whether or not the Lions' shooting woos continue is to be seen.

The Indians will take the court at 12:30pmCT and hope to hold momentum after scoring a tournament high 72 points. Your Indians continue to need fan support, and we hope to see another Adair County filled Rupp Arena today.
