City offices to close Wednesday afternoon The City of Columbia will be closing City Hall at 1pmCT Wednesday, March 20, in order to allow employees the opportunity to travel to Lexington to the Kentucky High School Basketball Tournament to watch the Adair County Indians play in the Sweet Sixteen. "We are proud of our local team and the recognition they have brought to our community," said Mayor Hoots. "We urge the community to wear red, white, and blue on Wednesday and support the Indians by going to the game or listening to the game." The night deposit remains open in the back of city hall.
