ACHS is runner-up team in 20th District tournament

By Trey Stephens
Sports Writer for Columbia Magazine

Friday night the Adair County Indians lost 49-47 to Taylor County in the 20th District championship game. The game was very tight all the way through and, in the end, the team came up just a little bit short.

Star Sophomore Dawson Gilbert did not see action in the game due to injury. The Region 5 KHSAA Boys Basketball bracket was released Saturday.

The Indians drew 19th District champions Washington County, who are coming off a 52-51 win over Bethlehem. The Indian's game against them will tip at 5pmCT on Tuesday, March 5th.

Please come and support the Indians as they take the next step on the road to the state tournament. The 5th Region Tournament is being hosted at Green County High School in Greensburg.
