ACHS basketball boy/girl double header sweep

Indian boy's outlast Caverna in OT thriller
Lady Indians ran away with their game, a 72-22 victory

The Adair County High School girl's basketball team raced past their opposition with a huge win, defeating the Lady Colonels of Caverna 72-22. This is a great momentum boost for the Lady Indians as they head into the last game Friday against Hart County leading up to the district tournament.

Indian Boy's team pushed past the Caverna boys in an overtime thriller! It was a close, competitive game, but ACHS completed the boy/girl sweep of Caverna Colonels with a win of 72-68 in overtime.

The team mounted a 4th quarter comeback to set up an extra 4 minute period where Indians were able to knock down free throws and play solid defense to fend off the Caverna High School Colones.

The boy's team was led in scoring by Connor Loy with 27 followed by Brayton Coomer with 14. Coomer was also the team's leading rebounder with 8 followed by Lane Grant with 7.

Lady Indians detail stats come in later so they aren't included but we hope to have them to add.

The final regular season games will happen this Friday at home.

Between the Tuesday night games, the seniors were given special recognition.

Chloe Vance was in the spotlight, honored with an "orange out" with roses, good health wishes and everyone around her wearing orange in support of her.
