Avellino Cahatol Rara, 73, Russell County, KY Avellino Cahatol Rara, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Monday, February 5, 2024. He was 73 years of age. He loved to work on cars and other machineries. He worked as a truck driver for years and later became a farmer and began growing produce. He enjoyed traveling, going to yard sales, and spending time with his family. Born August 2, 1950, in Impasugong, Bukidnon, Philippines, he was a son of the late Pedro and Modesta Cahatol Rara, Sr. Survivors include his beloved wife, Yolanda Rara, of Russell Springs; a son, Avellino Jess (and Diana) Rara, of Russell Springs; three daughters, Karen Mae Rara, of American Canyon, California, Dinah Rara (and Phillip) Scott, of Russell Springs, and Sharon Rose Ulanday, of Austin Texas; nine grandchildren, Avellino Petermond Rara, Dianah Denise Rara (and Katriel San Nicholas), Avellino Jan Rara, Terrence Jhadden (and Romina Mata) Keo, Jess Christian Rara, Jess Adrian Rara, Troy Anthony Scott, Shaila Antonette Ulanday, and Jess Brian Rara; and one great-grandchild, Kyfer Rara. He is also survived by two brothers; and five sisters. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30amCT on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home with Fr. Jinto Thomas officiating.
