Softball: LWC announces schedule for 2024 Season Callum Pilgrim, in her second season as the head coach of the Lindsey Wilson softball team, has announced the schedule for the program's 30th season. This year's slate covers four different states in four months and features six opponents who were receiving votes or better in the NAIA's Preseason Coaches' Poll released in November. The February portion of the schedule begins in Lawrenceville, Georgia where the Blue Raiders will face two national tournament qualifiers from a season ago in Taylor (IN) and No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett. The following weekend, Lindsey Wilson makes its home debut against Union (KY) then travels south, again, to Gulf Shores, Alabama, to compete in the Gulf Coast Invitational against the likes of eighth-ranked Central Methodist (MO) and No. 22 Southeastern (FL). Mid-South Conference play opens on March 15 at No. 20 Freed-Hardeman (TN). The Lions are one of two league teams ranked inside the top 25. Defending conference tournament champion and third-ranked Cumberlands (KY) is the second of that pair and will host the Blue Raiders on April 19 and 20. Other notable match-ups include a four-game series with (RV) Campbellsville at home in late March and a regular-season finale against Georgia Gwinnett, also at Marilyn D. Sparks Park. In all, Lindsey Wilson will play over half of its 2024 schedule at home this season. This story was posted on 2024-02-07 08:39:59
