Track and Field: LWC at Commonwealth College Opener Louisville, KY - The Lindsey Wilson track and field teams competed in the Commonwealth College Opener over the weekend in Louisville, KY. The men grabbed a win in the opener thanks to junior Logan Bullock and his impressive performance in the 1 mile event where he recorded a time of 4:35.31. In the same event, Blake Mulling finished fifth with a time of 4:48:48. The women had nine top ten finishes throughout the day, with the strongest performances in the 500m and the 1000m. Freshman Alejandra Recarey finished in third in the 500m with a time of 1:25.90. In the 1000m, freshman Clayra Darnell came in sixth with a time of 3:12.71, followed by Olivia Rudder, Alexandra Solis, and Macey Wilson in seventh, ninth, and tenth, respectively. In the men's 1000m, two junior Blue Raiders finished inside the top five with Nolan Foushee obtaining second place with a time "B" standard time of 2:29.69. and Justin Stearns earning fourth place with a "B" standard time of 2:30.40. Concluding the top five finishers across all events was Marti Mollins with a fourth place finish in the 500m with a time of 1:08.89. The Lindsey Wilson men had five more top ten finishers across all events. Stearns finished sixth in the 800m with a time of 1:55.64. Marcus Abel secured seventh in the 500m with a time of 1:09.92. In the 200m Luke Birdsong finished ninth with a 22.69 time. Luis Groff finished eighth in the high jump with a 1.89m mark. In the long jump, Justin Borden also managed an eighth place finish with a 6.80m mark. In the long jump, sophomore Nikki Ravelli finished in ninth, with a score of 5.45m. In shot put, freshman Reagan Cheatham reached 11.06m, earning her a ninth place finish, and freshman Destiny Barnes placed seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 10.62m. In the 60m quarter final preliminaries, Ophiellia Bernard placed in sixth, with a qualifying time of 7.90.
