James Polston, 93, Russell County, KY (1930-2023)

James A. Polston, 93, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at his residence.

James was born in Manntown, KY on July 11, 1930, a son of the late Eliza (Elmore) and James Allen Polston. He served in the U.S. Army.

James is survived by

Four sons Gary Polston (Annette Curry), of Jamestown. KY; Deron Polston (Alicia), of Jamestown, KY; Todd Polston (Connie), of Jamestown, KY; Allen Polston, of Russell Springs, KY; Special friend Dorothy Thompson, of Louisville, KY.

He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Odell Polston and sister Reba Bell.

Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, November 26th, 1pmCT at Jamestown Cemetery in Jamestown, KY with Bobby Dunbar officiating. Friends may visit 11 to 1 on Sunday, November 26th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY. Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery Jamestown, KY with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.
