4-H Country Ham Auction Wrap up

By Tony Rose, Agent for 4-H Youth Development
Adair County Cooperative Extension Service

WOW! You all showed up big for our 4-H youth at our Ham Auction. Thirty-three youth auctioned off Themed Ham Baskets at this year's 4-H Ham Auction. Thank you to Chris Wilson and Wesson Burton for serving as our auctioneers for this years auction. We would like to thank our sponsors, Bank of Columbia and United Citizens Bank, for making monetary donations that added $65.00 to each ham basket sold.

All of the proceeds/donations totaled more than $10,000, which will be redistributed to the youth as well as a small portion going to the Annual Country Ham Scholarship Fund.

4-H Country Ham Scholarship Recipients: Congratulations to Kylie Cowan, Madison Irvin, and Lily Loy for being selected to receive the 2023 4-H Country Ham Scholarship. Each will receive $300 to go towards their continuing education. All three have been involved in the 4-H Ham project since they were Cloverbuds.
