Bus Driver Appreciation Day From Donna Grant A Great Big Appreciation goes out to all the Adair County School Bus Drivers. Adair County Busses travel 500,000 miles a year transporting Life's Most Precious Cargo: Our Children. Bus drivers are so much more than just a bus driver. They are: a friend who will listen, a nurse, a caring heart and encourager/motivator among many other things. It takes a special person to be a good bus driver. On Thursday, October 26, 2023, local businesses showed their appreciation to the bus drivers by providing gifts and a meal. First and Farmers Bank-Columbia, Bank of Columbia, Community Trust Bank of Columbia, and United Citizens Bank of Columbia with a delicious meal along with sweatshirts/t-shirts. Thanks to Columbia McDonalds-Pam Hancock who gave all the bus drivers a Value Meal gift card and to Mrs. Barbara Overstreet and the banks for the delicious meal.
