At least 2 of the soldiers in Captain Robert Paxton's company were from Green County, Kentucky which is adjacent to Adair: John Raffity/Rafferty and William Stearman who were 2nd cousins to each other. From John's probate record: It was made apparent to the satisfaction of the Court by proof that John Rafferty a private in Capt Paxtons Company of Kentucky militia in Col Parkers Regiment died at New Orleans on the 19th day of February 1815
