John David Barr Jr , Russell County, KY (1969-2023)

John David Barr, Jr., of Russell Springs, passed away at age 54 after a long illness.

Born March 20, 1969, he was the son of the late John Barr, Sr. and Sharon Tripp Sullivan. He was the former owner of B & B Underwater Logistics and Lake Cumberland Canvas. He enjoyed turkey hunting and spending time on the lake. He attended Pleasant Hill Community Church.


Survivors include a son, Colton (and Chaley) Barr, of Russell Springs; a daughter, Brittany Barr (and Dan Thorne), of Indianapolis, Indiana; three sisters, Elaine (and Charlie) Buis, of Russell Springs, Melissa Hill, of Russell Springs, and Stephanie Alexander, of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren, Kian, Rylan, Cameron, and Lillianna; his stepmother, Sue Barr, of Jamestown; a stepbrother, Sean Brown, of Steamboat, Colorado; and several special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2pmCT Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Bernard Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Hood officiating. Visitation will be from 11 until time of services on Sunday.
