Audrey Spivey, 82, Russell Springs, KY (1940-2023)

Audrey Mae Davis Spivey of Russell Springs died on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Russell County Hospital. She was 82 years old.

Funeral Services will be held at 11amCT on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 E. Steve Wariner Dr., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Delvin Wilson and officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Cemetery, Little Brush Creek, Barbourville, Kentucky

Visitation will be from 5pmCT until 9pmCT on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Wilson Funeral Home.


She was born on October 8, 1940 the daughter of the late John R. and Christine Ore Davis.

She is survived by:
  • Two daughters, Lana Foley (Richard) of Russell Springs, Kentucky, and Patsy Elliott, of Russell Springs, Kentucky
  • A son, Robert Spivey (Gabrielle) of Russell Springs, Kentucky
  • Two sisters, Sally Burnett, Florida, and Wanda Ballard (John), Danville, Kentucky
  • A brother, J.R. Davis Jr. (Nancy), Nicholasville, Kentucky
  • Two granddaughters, Regina Haugen, Miranda Roy (Michael) of Russell Springs, Kentucky.
  • Four step grandchildren, Tim Foley (Robin) of Columbia, Kentucky, Ginny Foley (Matt) of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Dominic Gonzalez (Whitney) of Russell Springs, Kentucky and Donica Turner (Phillip) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
  • Three great-grandchildren, Kamber Wilson, Baylor Roy and Linleigh Roy
  • A multitude of step grandchildren and hundreds that called her granny
She retired from the Russell County School System and a member of Bethel United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bob Spivey whom she married on August 8, 1958, and two sons in laws, Michael Elliott and Jeff Wilson.

Pallbearers are: Jeremy Ballard, Chad Spivey, Richie Davis, David Spivey, Vincent Patterson and Dominic Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers, Bill Clark and members of Bethel United Baptist Church. There is a special thanks to the Staff of Russell County Hospital and Hospice of Lake Cumberland
