Primary Election 2023 ran smoothly in Adair, thanks to all Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer sends a heartfelt thank you to the Board of Elections, staff and all of the poll workers who made Primary Election day May 16, 2023 run smoothly. Whether there is one candidate on the ballot or 30, it takes the same number of dedicated people to do the work ahead - two to three months of prep - a 16-hour election day, and then the meetings and moving of machines and maintenance necessary to close out the election. After the totals were confirmed it looks like about 18% of registered Adair County voters turned out to cast their ballots even though there were no local candidates this time.
