Golf: LWC Women finish runner-up at MSC Championship

Bowling Green, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished runner-up at the Mid-South Conference Championship Tuesday at Bowling Green Country Club.

The Blue Raiders finished with a 63-over par 927 (313-309-305) over the three-round tournament. Lindsey Wilson finished 26 shots behind tournament champion Cumberlands (KY).


In the tournament, the Blue Raiders recorded the most birdies with 32 and had the second-most pars with 123.

Katie Biddlecombe finished runner-up in the tournament with a 7-over par 223 (75-71-77) finishing three shots behind the winner. Biddlecombe led the tournament with 10 birdies.

Lauren Holeman (79-75-80) tied for ninth with 234. Zofia Wojcik did not play in the first round and shot a 79-83 in the final two rounds and also tied for ninth.

Megan Mann carded a 235 (79-84-72) to finish in 14th. Mann finished with the second-most birdies in the tournament with nine. Hannah Sumner rounds out the Lindsey Wilson scoring tied for 20th with a 243 (80-87-76).

The Blue Raiders will now wait and see if they have earned an at-large bid into the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship. The championship field gets announced on Friday, May 12.
