National Water Safety Month activites at Holloway HWC From Annissa Koekemoer Aquatics Programming Intern, Lindsey Wilson College Since May is National Water Safety Month, we are encouraging patrons of the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, more specifically children, to sign a Water Safety Pledge on the pool deck. If they choose, they can ask one of the lifeguards to take a photo of them and their pledge, and their photo will go up on the wall the next day. This will be throughout the month of May. Next week, Monday-Thursday, May 8-11, 2023, from 4:15pmCT to 4:45pmCT, we are running an Aquashred class. This is a high intensity, low impact cardio and strength workout in the shallow end of the pool, and does not require any lap swimming abilities. This is free to members of the HWC and $20 for non-members. They can attend any or all days of the week. Next week Monday-Thursday, May 8-11, 2023, from 5:30pmCT to 6pmCT, we are running Parent & Me classes. It is $45 for the whole week. Parents can sign up by emailing me at koekemoera@lindsey.edu, or they can sign up at the front desk of the Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY.
