ACSO: Woman charged with felony after attempted dog bite From Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Thursday, April 13, 2023, the Adair County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant along with an arrest warrant at a residence on R. Grider Road. The investigation stemmed from multiple complaints from residents in the area of multiple pit bull dogs running loose. Reports included attacks on neighbors pets, and an attempted attack on a female walking. The Sheriff's Office tried numerous times to get the owner to safely maintain the animals to the property but was unsuccessful and told to leave the property by pit bull owner. The Sheriff's Office obtained affidavits from area neighbors and began a criminal investigation resulting in an arrest warrant and search warrant being granted to them. During the search warrant, three pit bulls were seized by the Sheriff's Office and captured by the Adair County Dog Warden Jimmy Harmon. The owner, Christie Ferguson, was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
