Donald R. Routt, 75, Campbellsville, KY (1948-2023) Donald R. Routt of Campbellsville departed this life on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 75 years old. There will be a funeral service for Donald R. Routt at 1pmET on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Rd. Campbellsville, KY with Bro. Freddy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Baptist Church Cemetery. The family requests visitation on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 2023 from 11amET until 1pmET at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Donald R. Routt, the son of Edward Thurman Routt and Alice Burba Routt, was born March 8, 1948 in Larue County, KY. He had professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He had been employed as an exterminator. He loved shooting pool, working as a mechanic, and race cars. He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He is survived by three sons and one daughter: Brian Routt and Theresa Routt both of Oklahoma, Nathan Routt of Madisonville, KY, and Don Routt, Jr. of Campbellsville. Six grandchildren: Christopher Routt, Karlee Routt, Tahler Franklin, Carter Routt, Breanna Routt, and Grayson Routt, and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Edward Routt, Myrtle Edith Jenkins, and Joyce Druin. Memorials are suggested to be donations to the Marion County DAV Honor Guard and may be made at the funeral home. L.R. Petty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
