Tennis: LWC welcomes Thomas More and Shawnee State

The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams gear up to face Thomas More (KY) and Shawnee State (KY), for a two-game conference homestand set to unfold at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 2pmCT, and Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 1pmCT.

The Saints enter with a 1-9 record on the season, falling in their last match to Georgetown (KY) 7-0, and still looking for their first victory in Mid-South Conference play. The Bears enter with an 0-4 record in the new year, falling to Pikeville (KY) 6-1, in their most recent contest.

The Blue Raiders enter after beating Campbellsville 4-3 on the men's side and 6-1 women's side of the courts.


Lindsey Wilson fell to the No. 15 ranking in the latest NAIA Men's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll as the women still reside at No. 13 in the NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Jan Silhavy sits at the No. 20-ranked spot in the NAIA Men's ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings. Tiago Almedia places behind him, ranking at No. 48 while Almedia and Lucas Marques hold onto the No. 10 ranking for doubles in the East region. As for the women, Darija Mladenovic places as the No. 18-ranked singles player in the East region.
