Golf: LWC Women win Blue Raider Invitational

The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team won the Blue Raider Invitational Tuesday at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson.

The Blue Raiders took home the title with a 29-over par 605 (304-301) on the par-72 5,864 yard course. Lindsey Wilson finished five shots better than runner-up SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) while Northwestern Ohio finished third with a 621.


Katie Biddlecombe posted the best individual finish for the Blue Raiders finishing runner-up with a 5-over par 149 (72-77). Biddlecombe finished six shots behind SCAD Atlanta's Martha Sanchez.

The Blue Raiders had three other golfers finish in the top five. Lauren Holeman finished tied for third with a 152 (78-74). Hannah Sumner and Megan Mann finished tied for fifth. Sumner (80-73) and Mann (74-79) each carded a 153.

Paige Gray who was competing as an individual finished tied for 14th with a 160 (79-81). Zofia Wojcik rounds out the Lindsey Wilson scoring with a 161 (84-77) to finish 16th. Kendall Hacker also competed as an individual and finished with a 191 (94-97).

The Blue Raiders are back in action on March 27 at the Music City Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
