Golf: LWC Men finish runner-up at Carey Collegiate Classic Hattiesburg, MS - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf finished runner-up at the Carey Collegiate Classic Tuesday at Canebrake Country Club. The Blue Raiders finished with a 15-over par 879 (299-287-293) on the par-72 6,891 yard course. Host William Carey (MS) won the team title with an 873 while Dalton State finished third with an 884. Janik Hawlitzky won the individual title with a 4-under par 212 (71-70-71) finishing two shots ahead of Spring Hill's Brennan Dolnick and William Carey's Diego Leslie. Hawlitzky recorded 12 birdies over the three rounds which were the third-most in the tournament. Sebastian Sandin moved up 11 spots from the second round to finish tied for sixth. Sandin carded a 219 (75-72-72) over the three rounds. One of the biggest movers in the tournament was Ivan Ninkovic. Ninkovic sat in 24th following the second round Monday but moved up to tied for eighth with a 71 in the third round for a score of 220 (75-74-71). Callum Waugh finished tied for 35th with a 228 while Frederik Strand rounds out the scoring for Lindsey Wilson with a 248.
