Chapel service to feature mental health panel discussion By Gerard Flanagan Campbellsville, KY - Campbellsville University's chapel service on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, will feature a panel discussion on mental health, according to Jamie Lawrence, executive director of ministry and church outreach. The chapel service will begin at 10amET in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville. "This is a timely topic, desperately needing conversation everywhere," Lawrence said. "Our ability to think, feel, connect, and function is aided by our internal state of mental wellbeing, which is a proactive process that also aids in our ability to develop resilience, advance and thrive." Dr. Scott Wigginton, professor of pastoral ministries and associate director of Marriage and Family Therapy, will lead the panel discussion. Trent Creason, campus minister, said the panel would consist of professors of Marriage and Family Therapy at Campbellsville University, a campus counselor and a local Marriage and Family Therapist counselor. Creason added the panel discussion would be a "dialogue among the panel with the hopes to address some of the specific things that college students wrestle with." Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through various informative speakers and presentations. The public is invited to all chapels this semester. Chapels can be viewed on YouTube by searching "Campbellsville University Playlist." Chapels can also be found on the Campbellsville University Facebook page and are broadcast on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15) Wednesdays at 10amET.
