Floyd Douglas Gibson, 77, Metcalfe County, KY Floyd Douglas Gibson, 77, of Edmonton passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. Born January 2, 1946 to the late Riley Gibson and Effie Mae Walbert Gibson. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his significant other Mary Lou Friant, grandson Kenton Delayne Froedge, sisters Josephine Fields and Barbara Wisdom. Brother in laws Kenneth Hurt, Junior Shive, Marvin Phelps, Herbert Fields and Yancy Mutter. He is survived by his daughters Lisa (Cecil) Froedge and Sherry Gibson of Edmonton. Two sons Troy Gibson and Mark Friant both of Edmonton. Grandchildren Darrell Froedge, Shelia (Brock) Stilts and Robert (Danielle) Smith. Great grandchildren Branham, Brantley and Brenlynn Stilts. Conner Barile, Rylan Smith, Clay and Keith Shive. Sisters Ruby Hurt, Betty Shive, Shirley Mutter and Wilma Phelps. Brother Eugene (Louise) Gibson, Brother -in-law James Wisdom. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2pmCT Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.
