Wind Advisory in effect through Monday evening Mike Keltner, Director of Adair Co. Emergency Management sends word that the National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a Wind Advisory that remains in effect until 6pmCT for an area that includes Adair and surrounding counties. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph, with gusts of 45 to 55 mph are possible. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured lightweight objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Showers and isolated thunderstorms may produce stronger gusts. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects. An active week of weather is expected across the outlook area. There is a chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday and another strong weather system is forecast to impact the region late Thursday and Friday.
