Cumberland Co. Health Department awarded top in district From Jeff Neagle Lake Cumberland District Health Department The Cumberland County Health Department is the winner of the 2022 County Health Center of Excellence award. The Lake Cumberland District is comprised of ten counties in southern Kentucky. Throughout the year, the ten counties are measured by a variety of standards that the district established for local departments. These criteria include areas such as productivity, patient satisfaction, utilization review, show rates and collections. This year, Cumberland County Health Department finished at the top of the rankings. "We are very proud to announce that Cumberland County won this year's County Health Center of Excellence," said LCDHD Director Amy Tomlinson. "This is a very competitive award and the staff there have done a great job." This marks the first time the Cumberland County Health Department has won the award. The Lake Cumberland District includes the counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, Taylor and Wayne. This story was posted on 2023-02-24 08:26:44
